Originally built in 1901 as a private residence, Braemar is a heritage listed building in an historic residential precinct near inner-city parks and the University. Braemar on Parliament Street has been restored and renovated with attention to detail and furnished with antiques throughout. Three guestrooms are offered upstairs, the Batten Suite, Norman or Jenny’s rooms, where children and pets are welcome. There are two toy poodles and a cat in residence.

A guest kitchenette opens from the lounge on the entrance floor and breakfast is served in the dining room downstairs from a full breakfast menu. There are many restaurants, cafés and bars within walking distance. Guests enjoy strolling downtown or through the university campus.
