Overlooking the Tasman Sea, Kapitea Ridge is nestled into the coastal landscape, with native bush and rural farmland, and provides easy access to West Coast activities. The curved roofline of each guestroom enhances the panoramic views of the ocean and mountains. The furnishings reflect New Zealand landscape colours, and one ensuite features paua shell and tiles.

Guests can relax in front of the log fire, the bay window or within the large native garden. Pacific Rim cuisine, focusing on seasonal fresh local fare and fine wine, is served alfresco or in the conservatory. Early evening is a favourite time for guests to stroll on the deserted beach (600 metres away) with Bella, a young sheepdog, or unwind in the hot tub with a complimentary glass of bubbly.
