The Ridge Luxury Country Lodge is located 45 minutes north of Auckland near the historic Bohemian village of Puhoi and close to Matakana Coast wine country. Purpose built as a country lodge to reflect its natural surroundings, the lodge is set high on a ridge, giving panoramic views over the surrounding native bush and to the sea beyond.

The three spacious and private ensuite rooms, each named after local regional parks, open to sunny north-facing decks overlooking landscaped gardens and out to the view. Ian and Maralyn offer a very relaxed and informal atmosphere ideal for romantic escapes and special occasions. A three-course dinner cooked by Maralyn and accompanied by fine Matakana wine is available by prior arrangement.

Directions: From Auckland take SH 1 north and exit to Puhoi. After the church turn left into Krippner Rd at the top of the road, turn left into Noakes Hill Rd. Travel 750m, turn left into Green Hollows Road. The Ridge is at the end on the left.
