description

Dine alfresco with stunning views over Hokitika River Valley. - click to enlarge pic1

Nestled in native bush, on a ridge top, Rimu Lodge offers views across the Hokitika River valley and farmland to the mountains beyond. Architecturally designed to complement the surroundings, the four individually styled ensuite rooms are decorated in soft earth tones. Guests are able to relax and enjoy the sun on the large outside deck amidst the native birdsong in the bush setting around the lodge.

A full cooked breakfast is served in the great room with its large stone fireplace, or alfresco on the deck. There are numerous bush walks nearby, and the half or full-day trout fishing tours are popular. A glass of New Zealand wine is often enjoyed by guests before leaving for dinner at one of Hokitika's award-winning restaurants. The perfect retreat.
