Rough and Tumble by name but not by nature, this boutique wilderness lodge in northern Buller, half way between Westport and Karamea is a place of adventure or escape. Set in 40 hectares of native bush just a fly-line cast from the river, the lodge features handcrafted trim and furniture made from native timbers. Each of the five guest rooms accommodates up to four persons in king/twin beds and has an ensuite bathroom.

Amenities on site include a 2-person bush bath, riverside campfire and a variety of bush walks including one to resident glow-worms. Directly in front of the lodge is 'The Pool', a safe waterhole for swimming, fishing and flat-water kayaking. Your hosts 'Weasel' and Susan will share their knowledge and enthusiasm of the natural environment and feed you sumptuous meals in private and serene surroundings.

Directions: From Westport, head north on SH67 (go 44.9 km), right at Mokihinui Seddonville Rd (3.3km), continue on for 1.7km, cross ford and follow signs for 800m to the lodge.
