Tui Lodge is located off SH 1, 45 minutes south of Taupo and close to the Tongariro River, renowned for fly fishing for both brown and rainbow trout. As a member of the NZPFGA, Ian is well qualified to guide guests fishing the Tongariro and back-country rivers. He will also tutor novices on fly-casting techniques on the grounds of his spacious property.

Purpose built and opened in 2005, Tui Lodge is a blend of classic and contemporary design, offering four ensuite guestrooms with views to Mt Pihanga and the Kaimanawa Mountains. Guests enjoy the Lodge as a comfortable base for bird-watching, river, bush or mountain walks (including the famed Tongariro Crossing) and some of the many adventure activities available in the area.
